Milinkevich Intends to Gather Six Thousand People to Collect Signatures

Action group to collect signatures in support of the leader of opposition Za Svabodu (For Freedom) Movement, Alexander Milinkevich, will include five - six thousand people. It was reported by deputy chairman of the movement, Yuras Hubarevich.


Action group will be formed in three stages. According to deputy chairman of the movement, during the first phase, which is almost completed, more than a thousand of activists expressed their desire to join the action group, Belarusian service of Radio Liberty informs.


"We addressed the activists of Za Svabodu (For Freedom) Movement mainly in the regions. They wrote a special statement about their consent to be involved in action group and completed the questionnaire", Yuras Hubarevich said.


At the second phase, there will be carried out the work to create electoral bloc. According to the movement representative, it will include partner organizations, who want to participate in election campaign of Alexander Milinkevich. It is planned to increase the number of activists thanks to the members of these organizations.


"The third stage is to reach broad sections of the public. At present, Alexander Milinkevich is probably the most well-known personality among existing opposition politicians. So we'll ask people who support him, to join the common cause. Thus, at the time of filing documents to the CEC, we expect to reach the group of five-six thousand people", Yuras Hubarevich declared.
