The first thousand members enter the list of Alaksandr Milinkievich’s initiative group

1,023 people from among the members of the Movement for Freedom (MFF) and those who actively cooperate with it have already given their written consents to collect signatures for delegating the MFF leader as a candidate for president.

 

At present, the greatest number of those who wish to work during the election in Alaksandr Milinkievich’s team is in the Vitsiebsk, Mahilou, and Homiel regions.

 

“This is just the first stage of forming the initiative group. The next step will be the proposal to join the MFF leader’s campaign for the activists of those partner organizations that would take a decision at their level to support Milinkievich’s delegation. It will be the MFF activists as well as the activists of the allied organizations who will form the core of the regional election headquarters. Also, the appeal to a wide circle of the country’s citizens will be distributed to join the work in the MFF leader’s team. With regard to these efforts, we think some five thousand members will enter Milinkievich’s initiative group”, the MFF deputy head Yuras Hubarevich told.

 

The current objective is to prepare the lists of those who wish to participate in the campaign, and to collect the required information in order to register the initiative group timely, and to start collecting signatures without delay. Forming the initiative group and its official registration will become possible only after the announcement of the election campaign by the Central Election Commission.
