Will the head of the Minsk City Executive Committee join the celebration of the Victory of Grunwald?
The Organizing Committee on the Celebration of the 600th Anniversary of the Victory of Grunwald sent the specimens of the festive banners and advertisements for the public transport of the capital to the Minsk city chief executive Mikalay Ladutska.
Colourful leaflets, advertisement messages, and posters – according to the artists Mikola Kupava and Mikhal Basalyha who developed them − could be placed in the carriages of the underground trains, in buses, trolleys, street cars, and taxi cars if the city management wishes to do so.
“This would have been a decent participation on the part of the Belarusian executive authorities in the preparation of the city to the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the Great Victory of our ancestors near Grunwald that will take place on July 15. I know for sure that the Polish authorities are actively participating in financing of this holiday”, Kupava, the deputy head of the Civil Organizing Committee, says.
For reference – The Belarusian delegation consisting of some 100 people, including 7 representative of the Movement for Freedom (MFF), will start to Poland on two buses with consecrated historic gonfalon banners on July 15 in order to participate in the reconstruction of this historic event on the very Grunwald field. One more bus will also depart from Hrodna. Many people intend to get to the place on their private transport. The Organizing Committee proposes to those staying in Minsk on July 15 to gather in the Grunwald restaurant to celebrate the holiday.
