Anton Astapovich inviting to visit Hrodna suburbs

A friendly journey organized by the Monuments Protection Society will take place on July 18.


The Belarusian Voluntary History and Culture Monuments Protection Society, as well as personally the Movement for Freedom (MFF) activist, the head of the organization Anton Astapovich invite to a friendly journey named Hrodna Suburbs on July 18.


The journey’s route:


Auhustouski canal, 1830’s – the flood-gates Niamnova and Dambrouka, and the quay in Sonichy.


Sapotskin – the Assumption Catholic Church of the early 20th century, graveyard chapels and a memorial in the cemetery, and fortification structures of 1940 around Sapotskin.


Sviatsk – the Valovichs family Baroque palace and park of the 2nd half of the 18th century.


Navumavichi – the 2nd fort of the Hrodna fortress of the early 20th century.


Adelsk – the wooden Assumption Catholic Church of the middle 18th century.


Indura – the Classicism Trinity Catholic Church of the middle 19th, and the synagogue of 1885.


Kvasouka – the Virgin Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of the middle 19th century.
