Respected but fired (photos)
“Dear Ryhor Yaraslavavich! We inform you of the fact that due to the end of the term of the work contract entered into between you and us, you will be dismissed”, the head of the Baranavichy carriage depot Mr. Khvaley wrote in his notification to the activist of the Movement for Freedom (MFF).
The MFF Baranavichy town activist Ryhor Hryk has received the warning on non-renewal of his work contract for the third time in the last two years. He will be dismissed on July 22. The activist received the corresponding document in the human resources department of the Baranavichy carriage depot on June 14.
First, he was dismissed from the Baranavichy cotton factory after 17 years of decent work due to his participation in the election on the part of the opposition to the House of Representatives as a candidate in 2008.
The carriage depot – his last work place – didn’t excuse his firm civil position, as well. He actively participated in the election to the Baranavichy Town Council from the MFF on April 25. Recently, Hryk refused to agree the injury caused to him at work occurred out of his workplace.
Hryk visited the carriage depot head Mikalay Khvaley. He asked not to dismiss him, and the depot head answered he wasn’t against it. However, the human resources department head Hienadz Nikaniuk who was present at this talk said there were no free job vacancies at the enterprise. The carriage depot head Khvaley promised to try and find some work for Hryk within a month. So, we can only wait and see.
