Region Court supporting the activist’s appeal

The judge of the higher resort court cancelled the decision of the Kletsk District Court on punishing Siarhiey Panamarou with a fine, and sent the case for re-consideration.

 

According to Mr. Huchok, the Kletsk District Court didn’t take every measure needed for a comprehensive, complete, and objective investigation of the circumstances of the case.

 

The Minsk Region Court took into account the fact that the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist Panamarou filed his appeal to the Prosecutor’s Office asking to hold Mr. Navitski responsible for an insult almost a week earlier than Mr. Navitski filed the same appeal. The District Court also didn’t listen to the Panamarou’s witnesses Dziatko and Savielyeu. Some testimony of Mr. Navitski isn’t proved documentarily, and his witnesses are his subordinate employees.

 

For reference – the MFF activist was punished with a fine of Br350 thousand (some €90) for his alleged insult of the head of the Kletsk Housing and Utilities Service Mr. Navitski.
