The Battle of Grunwald Anniversary Celebration Organizing Committee preparing children’s paintings exhibition
The exhibition named Grunwald in our Memory will open on July 13 at the address Masherava avenue 8.
Despite the fact that the organizers concentrate on children’s and youth’s works, there are no age or techniques limitations. The main thing is for the works to be dedicated the Victory of Grunwald and to its role in the history of Belarus.
The jury includes Mikola Kupava, Ales Shaternik, Ales Marachkin, Eduard Ahunovich, and other artists. The works are accepted till July 5 in the office at Masherava avenue 8.
The Republican Civil Organizing Committee on the Celebration of the 660th Anniversary of the birth of kniaz (king) Vitaut the Great and of the 600th Anniversary of the Victory of Grunwald (aka the Victory of Dubrouna) also announces a range of summer events connected with the celebration of this historic date. On July 6, the blessing of the historic gonfalon banners will take place. On July 8, the Organizing Committee’s press conference and the round table will be held. On July 9, the exhibition organized by the Pahonia Artists’ Association dedicated to the Battle of Grunwald will start working. On July 15, the civil celebrative party will be held in the Grunwald restaurant. On July 15-18, the trip of the Belarusians to the Field of Grunwald will take place where the remodeling of the Battle of Grunwald will be held with the participation of the knight’s clubs from Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Germany, Italy, and other countries.
