A journey to the Lake District

The Monuments Protection Society invites everyone to see the monuments of the Braslau district.

 

Anton Astapovich, the activist of the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) and the head of the Belarusian Voluntary History and Culture Monuments Protection Society, invites everyone to a friendly journey through the Lake District on June 20.

 

Journey’s route:

Pierabroddze − the Jesus’ Heart’s Catholic church, and the St. George’s Orthodox church of the late 19th – early 20th centuries;

Ikazn – the God’s Body’s Catholic church, and the St. Nicolas’ Orthodox church of the late 19th century – early 20th century;

Braslau – the Virgin Mary’s Nativity’s Catholic church of 1820’s, the Assumption’s Orthodox church of the late 19th century, the castle site, and town’s buildings.

Dalokiya – the wooden St. Stanislau’s Catholic church of 1920’s in the Zakopane style.

Pielikany (Miluntsy) – the St. Jacob’s Catholic church of the early 20th century.

Drysviaty – the St. Peter & St. Paul’s Catholic church of 1920’s in the Zakopane style, and the St. Peter & St. Paul’s Orthodox church of the late 19th century.

Vidzy – the St. Trinity’s Catholic church of the early 20th century, the Old Believer’s Orthodox church of 1920’s, the Tamash Vauzhetski’s grave, and town’s buildings.

Vidzy-Lauchynskiya – the Vauzhetskis family manor and park of the late 19th – early 20th centuries.
