Prosecutor’s Office supports the activist − militia hesitates
The head of the militia of the Civil Security Department of the Minsk Province Executive Committee prolonged the consideration of the complaint of the Kletsk town activist of the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) Siarhiey Panamarou for a month.
According to the major of militia Mr. Kubrakou, additional measures need to be taken to make a lawful decision.
For reference – Siarhiey Panamarou appeals against the actions of the Kletsk District Department of Internal Affairs (militia) officials who ignored his appeal of March 15, 2010 about the insult on the part of the head of the Kletsk Housing and Utilities Service (HUS) Mr. Navitski, but began enthusiastically the examination on the counter-appeal of the official of March 23, 2010 against the activist. Based on the testimony of the perjurers, the Kletsk District Court punished Panamarou with a fine in the amount of Br350 thousand (some €90) for his alleged insult of the Kletsk HUS head.
The Kletsk District Prosecutor Mr. Karabko approved Panamarou’s appeal, and ordered the Kletsk district militia to consider the activist’s appeal of March 15, 2010 in a proper way.
While the province and the district militia delay the consideration of Panamarou’s appeal of March 15, 2010, the session of the Minsk Province Court is scheduled on May 28 where the cassation appeal of the MFF activist Panamarou against the district court’s decision to fine him will be considered.
