Belarusians commemorated the 24th anniversary of the Charnobyl tragedy.
The Belarusian Christian Democracy party and the Young Front movement were the organizers of the Charnobyl March this time.
The event was also attended by the representatives of the Belarusian Popular Front party, the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) (including the head of the MFF Alaksandr Milinkievich), the activists of the Young Belarus movement, the Free Youth movement, and some other organizations.
By tradition, the event began beside the Academy of Sciences, followed by the march along the streets of Minsk. The event finished beside the Charnobyl Chapel build near the Banhalor square.
