Utility services being engaged in politics?

The head of the house management No.20 of Vitsiebsk ordered its employees to remove the leaflets of the candidates for deputies from the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) Raisa Zarachanskaya and Alaksiey Haurutsikau.

Street cleaners received their salary ahead of schedule in order to make them fight more eagerly against the campaigning products of Ms. Zarachanskaya, the candidate for deputy to the Vitsiebsk City Council, and of Mr. Haurutsikau, the candidate for deputy to the Vitsiebsk Province Council. Moreover, utility service employees were urged to participate in the early voting and to ask their relatives to do the same.

According to the campaign headquarters of the Movement for Freedom (the MFF), at this election, the authorities are actively promoting Mr. Bokhan, the director of the Beltelecom Vitsiebsk branch (state-owned corporation), and Mr. Prudnikau, the head of the Piershamayski Security Department (militia).
