Inactivity of the authorities
The bridge which received no attention on the part of the officials was destroyed by the river flood.
Dobrush town residents are indignant about the inactivity of the local officials and of the deputies of the local Council who – two month ago – received from the residents the collective request to consider the issue of constructing a new passenger bridge over the Iputs river that should join the Kamuna sub-district with the main part of the town.
Meanwhile, the old bridge that was in the emergency condition was completely destroyed by the ice drift of which the Dobrush Area newspaper wrote in the issue No.26 of April 3, 2010.
According to the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist Mark Sannikau, the local authorities violate in a cynical way the Decree of the head of state No.2 of January 14, 2005 On Improving the Work with the Population that presupposes that the appeals of the citizens should be considered within 15-30 days resulting in a definite decision with obligatory informing of the citizens.
Kamuna sub-district residents who now have to go to town round about using the main bridge are beginning to doubt the ability of the local authorities to efficiently solve the current problems of the town.
The MFF activists distributed among Dobrush residents the information materials that provide details on the essence of the problem and on the reaction of the local officials to it.
According to Sannikau, the MFF activists will continue following the situation and informing the town residents.
