Journey on the Monuments Protection Day

Anton Astapovich invites everyone to visit the Homiel province monuments on April 18.


The journey within the framework of the nation-wide Be Belarusians! campaign is organized by the Belarusian Voluntary History and Culture Monuments Protection Society headed by the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist Anton Astapovich.


Several places will be visited during this journey on the International Day on the Protection of Monuments and Historic Locations:


Parychy – The housing and civil buildings area of the town, buildings of the clinic, logging enterprise, and women’s college. All these buildings were constructed in the late 19th – early 20th centuries.


Yuravichy – The Jesuits Catholic church and monastery of the late 17th – middle 18th centuries. The Baroque style. A palaeolithic dwelling site.


Barbarou – The Horvats family manor and park of the late 18th – middle 19th centuries.


Mazyr – The Bernardians Catholic church and monastery of the second half 17th – middle 18th centuries, the Cistercians Catholic church and convent of the early 17th – middle 18th centuries, the Cistercians Catholic church of the middle 18th century. All these buildings represent the Baroque style. Town housing and civil buildings area of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, the Paleskaya Vieda museum, the A. Pushkar museum, town landscapes, and river Prypiats valleys.
