I would like to warmly congratulate you with the greatest holiday of the Belarusian nation – the Freedom Day!

 
The honourable duty of every citizen is to know our glorious history, to feel pride for the deeds of our ancestors, and to honour those who sacrificed their lives, health, and well-being in the name of freedom and independence of our Motherland. This is also the reflection of patriotism and of the civilized nature of both society and the authorities.

 
The events of March 25, 1918 when the Belarusian Democratic Republic was proclaimed gradually receive more recognition in our society.

 
I call on every Belarusian to celebrate our main national holiday on a large scale, with dignity, and in a civilized manner. Many will come to the square near the Academy of Sciences in Minsk at 6 p.m. on March 25. Dozens of events, concerts, actions, and parties will take place in the regions of Belarus and abroad.

 
I am sure that as the result of our joint efforts, Belarus will be liberated from the authoritarian regime, and will become the embodiment of the ideals of the founding fathers of the Belarusian Democratic Republic.
