Dictation by Khadanovich

The 3rd Nation-Wide Dictation will be held in Hrodna under the auspices of the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) on March 21.

The dictation named Hrodna: Honour Belarusian 2010 is organized by a range of Hrodna civil organizations and initiatives, as well as by interested and unindifferent people.

This time, the text of the Dictation is the preface of the Memory Of Belarusian Land book by Uladzimir Karatkievich. The text will be read by the well-known poet and translator, the Belarusian PEN centre head Andrey Khadanovich who will visit Hrodna especially for this purpose.

After the Dictation, Andrey Khadanovich will conduct the language celebration. Every participant will receive memorable presents. A festive cake awaits the participants of the events at the end of the celebration.

The Dictation is not the test of knowledge of Belarusian. This is primarily the act of solidarity with the Belarusian language and with the Belarusian independence, as well as the evidence of the fact that Belarusian is alive, and has many supporters. The text one writes can be filed in the family archive, preserved for descendants, and shown to them as the unique evidence of honour to the Belarusian distinctiveness.
