Officials approve of actions of the MFF Kletsk activist

01/03/10

The Kletsk District Executive Committee Architecture Department head and Housing and Utilities Company deputy head expressed their gratitude to Siarhiey Panamarou for providing the information to the leadership concerning local social and utility problems.

The Kletsk District Executive Committee Architecture Department head Mr. Maysieychyk and Housing and Utilities Company deputy head Mr. Smychkouski met Panamarou and told him that he is doing a very useful work informing the citizens of the district’s problems. According to these officials, some issues of which the activist wrote in his letter are already being solved.

For reference – On February 19, the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist filed the appeal to the Prosecutor’s Office and to the Kletsk District Executive Committee leadership concerning the horrible sanitary state of the PMK-191 state-owned company’s boarding house building located at the Masherava street 5.

The MFF activist points out the extreme living conditions in the boarding house of the PMK-191. Electric installations in the premises have been out of order long ago, the flooring has become punky, wooden cupboards and window frames are half-broken, and sanitary equipment doesn’t work.

The activist is indignant about the fact that the boarding house residents have to pay the full cost of living in such poor conditions. On his web site, Panamarou writes about the old man who has to live his last years in such inhuman conditions receiving pension of only Br160 thousand (some €40).
