Construction of the house at Belinskaga street wasn’t authorized

The Department on Monitoring and Inspection of Construction in Minsk informed the civil activists of this.

The activist of the civil initiative against the construction of the multistoried building Sviatlana Miatseleva received an answer from the State Monitoring Committee of the Republic of Belarus. Among other things, the State Monitoring Committee deputy head Mr. Ageyeu told that the Department on Monitoring and Inspection of Construction in Minsk defined the fact of the unauthorized construction of the house and, therefore, suspended construction of this residential building.

The Minsk City Executive Committee was ordered to react adequately to the fact of the unauthorized construction of the house, and to hold liable the guilty officials.

The residents of houses No.30 and No.32 at Kalinina street whose rights are violated treated the position of the Department on Monitoring and Inspection of Construction in Minsk positively. At the same time, people understand that construction of this house would hardly ever stop. Now, they fight for restoring the green area around their houses and for cancellation of construction of parking lot for new residents at their territory.

The old-time residents started their fight against the tight building development near Kolasa and Kalinina streets in the end of the last year. They produced several reasons in favor of their demands. The Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activists helped get the information about the violations to numerous institutions.
