BIB explains its position on ‘Young Belarus’

According to the statement made at the Belarusian Independence Block (BIB) Council – which was attended by representatives of eight divisions –the Young Belarus youth movement being the BIB’s part shall be represented by its leader Artur Finkievich.

 
Based on the discussion results, the statement consisting of two items was adopted concerning the participation of the Young Belarus in the BIB:

 
1. The Young Belarus youth movement is  represented in the BIB by its leader Artur Finkievich.
2. The BIB would consider any attempt to create the similar structure with the same name as a provocation.

 
The participation of certain BIB partner organizations in such associations as the European Coalition and the New Generation and its possible influence on the efficiency of the BIB’s activity of was also considered at the session.

According to the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) leader Alaksandr Milinkievich, the Belarusian Independence Block should, among other things, be consolidated and powerful. Then support would come. “We should restore the trust of our society and of our partners from the European countries to the democratic community. To do this, the consolidation of the democratic forces should be as strong as possible”, Milinkievich believes.
