Activist hoping for Paval Latushka’s support
The Monuments Protection Society head addressed the Minister of Cultural Affairs in order to put the process of rescuing of the unique national architecture monument out of the deadlock.
Anton Astapovich, the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist and the Monuments Protection Society head, tells the Minister of his correspondence with the authorized officials concerning the situation with the unique national architecture monument – namely, Nacha village tavern (Voranava district of Hrodna province). According to Astapovich, the officials write back runarounds instead of rescuing the monument.
Astapovich suggests the Monuments Protection Society starting the preparation of the documents in order to grant this national architecture monument the historical and cultural valuable object status. However, the Deputy Minister Mr. Struzhetski ignores the requests to present the necessary information (several documents from the Belarusian Museum of National Architecture and Life archives) and doesn’t answer to the point of the questions.
Astapovich appeals to Paval Latushka who repeatedly proved his affection for the Belarusian language and culture asking to solve this situation, to hold the Deputy Minister Mr. Struzhetski officially responsible for the violation of the Law On the Citizens’ Appeals, and to answer to the point of the Monuments Protection Society’s offer concerning the preparation of the documents relating to the old tavern.
