First issue of Sievastopalski Bulletin comes out
This newspaper published with the support of the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) Minsk activists deals with the problem of building development of the Sievastopalski Park, the neglect of the kindergarten at Slavinskaha street, and the issue of drinking water quality in the Piershamayski district.
“When we were collecting signatures to stop construction work in the Sievastopalski Park, people fully supported us and expressed their surprise that such things as chopping down of the trees, closing of water wells, and excavation of trenches happen close to their houses. This shows the district residents clearly have insufficient information about the authorities’ actions which directly affect their interests. I hope Sievastopalski Bulletin would allow to tell about the district problems to a wide circle of local residents and would help to organize them to solve these problems”, Viktar Yanchurevich, the MFF activist residing in the Piershamayski district, says.
According to the MFF coordinator Yuras Mieliashkievich, the circulation of the first issue will soon be distributed among the Uskhod-2 sub-district dwellers by the MFF activists.
