That’s enough! Pruzhany town dwellers are against unlimited alcohol sale

According to the results of the poll of the town district residents, the greatest local problem is the U Kashtana night shop which is engaged in the unlimited sale of the alcoholic beverages.

The poll of the town district dwellers was performed by the Movement for Freedom (the MFF) Pruzhany activists at the beginning of 2010 and aimed at finding out the most important existing problems.

U Kashtana shop became the problems rating leader. At night time, this shop sells unlimited number of alcoholic beverages which are being drunk at the adjacent courtyard areas.

The district dwellers think the high level of noise, hooligans, street brawls, and insanitariness – which are the result of the shop’s night work – lead to unhealthy moral atmosphere in the district and to dangerous situations for the local residents.

According to the dwellers’ poll, the second place is taken by the low level of utility services. Insufficient number of children playgrounds and bad condition of the existing playgrounds are on the third place.

Based on the results of the poll, the MFF activists together with the interested town dwellers started collecting the signatures for the change of U Kashtana shop’s opening hours.
