One more fine totaling over €2,100 is imposed on the Kletsk town activist
The Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist SiarhieyiPanamarou received the statement of initiation of the executive proceedings relating to the fine imposed on him five years ago.
The letter is addressed to the “individual entrepreneur Siarhiei Panamarou”. However, Panamarou have long ago closed his entrepreneurial business.
“It is five years now that I’m excluded from the register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs; however, court officers traditionally come to me, mouse around my non-existent property, draw up reports, and… leave with nothing”, Panamarou says.
In September 2005, the wood shop belonging to Siarhiey Panamarou was confiscated due to his energetic political activity in Kletsk district. After Panamarou’s attempts to receive compensation, he was sued with Br 8,846,348 (over €2,100) for “unfounded profits”.
Executive proceedings on levying this large fine from the “individual entrepreneur” Siarhiey Panamarou in favor of Klietsk Housing and Utilities Agency are being initiated once every six months. A court officer offers the activist to pay the said sum to Klietsk Housing and Utilities Agency within the seven days’ period. The proceedings are subsequently closed due to the absence of property.
