The MFF activist rewarded for worthy military service

The Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist Ihar Salaviei who was drafted into army received certificate of merit and a short-term leave ticket.

The certificate of merit states that Ihar Salaviey is rewarded “for model military discipline, flawless combat alert duty, conscientious attitude towards performance of service duties, and based on the results of The West – 2009 military training manoeuvres.

“In the beginning of the draft, I had no great desire to serve because I had other plans for this year and a half. However, having served a bit, I understood that there are certain advantages here too and that army could be beneficial for the formation of personality. Moreover, this is my constitutional duty. I strive to serve worthily as the military oath given by me obliges”, Ihar Salaviey says.

The next encouragement for Salaviey was that the command of his military unit – based on the results of the month – decided to grant him a leave ticket for three days.
