Deputy who didn’t answer the citizens’ appeal will have to deal with prosecutor’s office

The Movement for Freedom (the MFF) Barysau town activists wrote the complaint against the Mr. Shkredau, the bus fleet head and the Barysau District Council deputy.


More than a month ago, Siarhiey Salash and Alieh Matskievich addressed Mr. Shkredau, the head of the Bus Fleet No.3 belonging to the state-owned Minablautatrans (Minsk Region Automobile Transport) organization with the proposition to extend the use of the Belarusian language in the Barysau civil transport and to support the civil initiative on announcing 2010 the year of the Belarusian language.


The activists didn’t ever receive the answer from the bus fleet head and sent the complaint to the Barysau District Prosecutor’s Office against the violation of the law On Citizens’ Appeals.


“Clause 10, part 1 of the law On Citizens’ Appeals obliges to consider any appeal within one month from the date of its registration in state agencies. Under Clause 9.13 of the Administrative Offences Code of the Republic of Belarus, the violation of the law On Citizens’ Appeals results in the fine in the amount of 4 to 20 base values ”, Siarhiey Salash reminds.


In their letter to the prosecutor, the activists ask to take prosecutor level measures against unlawful actions of the Minablautatrans Bus Fleet No.3 head.
