Chashniki town MFF activists manage to get street lighting fixed

26/11/09

This problem was resolved following the appeal of Aliaksiej Aleksandrovich, a Movement for Freedom (the MFF) activist, to the Executive Committee and the publication on www.chashniki.info.

Due to the electric network breakdown, one of the residential districts of Chashniki fell into darkness in the evenings during the last week. Roads in this residential district are also in a terrible condition. People had to use flashlights not to get into puddles but utility services paid no attention to this problem. Citizens’ complaints and addresses to the relevant agencies didn’t help, either.

Residents asked the MFF activist Aliaksiej Aleksandrovich for help. With the education of power engineer, he assessed the scale of this problem and applied to the District Executive Committee demanding this problem be solved. The publication about the lighting fault in this residential district appeared on www.chashniki.info.

Utility services began urgent repairs of the street lighting. The head of the electric shop of the paper factory responsible for the electric supply of this residential district presented the report on resolving this problem to the activists.
