Ministry of Justice messed up again
Over one month passed since documents reviewed by both applicants and registers were submitted to the Ministry of Justice to get registered the Human Rights Education Public Association Rukh “Za Svabodu”.
“On May 15th we handed over all papers to register the association Rukh “Za Svabodu” in which all necessary amendments put in counting the Ministry of Justice’s observations. Not more than 30 days are given for consideration and response for such papers as it says in law. However, there is no any signal from the Ministry of Justice so far”, - said Aliaksei Kavalets, assistant to a leader of Rukh “Za Svabodu”.
This is not the first time when the Ministry of Justice does not get along with responses to applications from NGOs what can only mean that the Ministry disregards law itself.
This is already third endeavor to obtain registration for the Human Rights Education Public Association Rukh “Za Svabodu”. Yet in spring leader of Rukh “Za Svabodu” Aliaksandr Milinkevich had a meeting with Mr. Slizheuski, official from the Ministry of Justice in order to review the Rukh’s application. Both sides agreed to introduce the changes required into the application and then come back to a registration procedure in accordance with the law. From the part of the Rukh “Za Svabodu” all arrangements were done in time.
