Declaration on formation of opposition coalition called Belarusian Independence Bloc signed in Minsk

The Declaration of creation of the Belarusian Pro-Independence Block was signed by Vital Rymasheuski, Zmitser Dashkevich, Aliaksei Janukevich, Aliaksandr Milinkevich, Artur Finkevich, Viachaslau Siuchyk, Jury Karetnikau and Ales Shumkevich.

Authorities responded to citizens’ address but denied a talk with them (photo)

There was a big group of officials that visited the Sevastopalski Park (Minsk) to “tackle the  problem” at the place itself. The inspecting commission included assistant of the head of state, senior inspector in Minsk Anatol Kalinin, head of the Pershamajski administration in Minsk Mikalaj Kotau, head of architecture and city planning Committee Siarhei Kazlouski as well as an assistant to the head of the Minsk City Government. It was the latter who personally invited the local activist Mrs Valantsina Shaleinikava the Park for a meeting at the very place where a heating main was planned to be built.
